Empowering Social Entrepreneurs: Highlights from U&WE Hub in Ivano-Frankivsk

Recently, the third entrepreneurship training program was completed in five offline U&WE Hubs, with nearly 200 women participating, and at the end of the course, about 90 participants presented their ideas. These are not exclusively women's businesses, but socially responsible businesses, such as psychological centres to support those affected by the consequences of war or development centres for children. Among the businesses represented in the offline U&WE Hub in Ivano-Frankivsk are: eco-pellet production, wax production, massage school, children's early development centre, marketing agency, creative space, beauty salon, clothing and accessories store, and more.

In U&WE Hub Ivano-Frankivsk, the winner was Natalia Gaidai, who plans to develop camps for children with autism. Natalia is a two-time internally displaced person who used to live in Crimea and work with children with autism, and now plans to restart her business in a new place.

"I have not met so many creative and inspiring women for a long time. After the occupation and evacuation, I was depressed for a long time because of the uncertainty of the future, the loss of property and business in the occupied territory. This training inspired me to move on and pulled me out of the abyss of grief. I am very grateful for such opportunities for displaced women!" says Natalia Gaidai.
